FAQs
How long before my order ships?
Most order ship within the week, assuming items are in stock, changes to the order are not made and the shipping service selected is applicable. If a delay occurs, we will reach out and communicate to ensure it is resolved.
Is there a local pickup option?
Currently, we are unable to offer local pickup as we operate our candle shop from our home.
How can I keep my candles looking their best?
Candles may discolor or fade when they are exposed to intense light for extended periods as well if stored in warm or humid areas. We do not recommend displaying your candles for long periods in direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting or other strong illumination. Wax will soften in temperatures over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Store your candles in a cool, dry place if they will be stored for an extended period of time.
What wax is used to make your candles?
We currently use Soy Wax to make all of our hand-poured candles.
Should I trim my wick?
For the most part, yes, you should trim the wick when it needs trimmed. If you see a mushroom on top, it needs to be trimmed. Ideally, the wick should be trimmed to 1/4" before being lit again.
Is wax buildup on the candle jar normal?
A little "hang-up" is normal especially towards the top and middle of the candle. It typically will catch up. But small amounts of hang up or film is completely normal. An excessive amount (Over 1/4") and in extreme cases of burning a hole down the middle (tunneling) while can occur for a number of reasons is best to avoid.
Multiple factors can contribute to tunneling. Improperly or cheaply made candles is one cause. A mistake during production, typically with the wick is another. Not burning the candle long enough (3-4 hours each burn) is another.
Do you ship to PO Boxes?
Yes, we can ship to PO Boxes. As long as your PO Box has room and will accept the delivery.
When should I discontinue the use of my candle?
Glass gets hot on the bottom as the wick nears the base. It can cause cracking, breaking, or damage underneath the glass. We also recommend burning all candles on heat resistant surfaces.
